Ahh, hot chocolate.
Time for a mug of hot cocoa and a nightly update. Today, the weather was dismal; cloudy and overcast with occasional bouts of rain. I came home from work, had a bento from the conveni for dinner, and watched Persuasion again. Darcy cuddled with me a bit and massaged the back of my left leg in the process of settling down. Then Shannon came home and told me about her date. Now I am sipping hot cocoa while wrapped in a blanket and sitting in front of my computer with the space heater on medium. Happily, I am already in my pajamas. Sadly, I have a sore throat that I am afraid will turn into a cold. That’ll teach me not to get a stupidly short haircut in the coldest part of the year.
Tomorrow is Wednesday. I look forward to sleeping in a whole hour longer than usual, taking forever long to shower and get dressed, making honey wheat scones with grits and eggs for brunch, and then wasting time on the computer until I have to leave for work around 2:20. Wednesday is also the day I teach a classfull of 11th grade girls who are currently obsessed with cursive. I taught them how to write their letters in cursive two weeks ago, last week they practiced composing sentences in it. But this week, being the week of Valentine’s Day, will probably be spent gossiping about the boys they like and who they are going to give chocolate to and blah blah blah. By the way, have you ever tried writing supercalifragilisticexpialidocious in cursive? It’s surprisingly difficult because you have to remember where all the i’s are so you can dot them and heaven forbid you forget to cross the x.
I do believe that’s all the nonsense that will flow out of my brain through my fingers this evening. I am going to go rinse out my mug, take some echinacea to stave off the potential cold, brush my teeth, and then cuddle up with two kitties while I read myself to sleep.
