Jinxed.
Well, there I went and jinxed myself quite soundly. Been making my way through a rather nasty cold which peaked on Friday when I very nearly left work 6 hours early. My boss brought me some “miracle medicine” that he discovered last time he had a cold and it worked wonders for him, and it did the same for me. I am recovered now but for a cough and minor sore throat. I spent all day today lounging around recovering and watching the olympics being re-cast over and over again. Go USA! They’ve been replaying the women’s moguls over and over again because the Japanese favorite was disappointed in her 4th olympic games by coming in 4th place. But two Americans won gold and bronze, so I’m not unhappy. I really hope they’ll be airing the men’s speed skating because I am a big fan of Apolo Ohno. I also really wanna watch the figure skating because Johnny Weir is awesome. No problems there because the Japanese folk love the figure skaters, in fact I think 3 of their medal hopefuls are from this prefecture. I know that one of my students goes to the same high school as Asada Mao. Anyways, I think I’m gonna go to sleep soon so that I can wake up at a reasonable time and watch some more olympics. I love the olympics!
